Talk On “FRONTIER OF DIVING AND RESEARCH”

By Dr Azhar Hussain

Many frontier areas for diving lie in the deeper parts of the sea or other aquatic environments which are beyond recreational diving training. Such environments include caves, wrecks and topographic overhangs. Diving in these areas require additional and more thorough training as slips and mistakes can lead to serious injuries and fatalities.

Dr. Azhar will talk about some of the trainings that divers undergo and how teamwork is enhanced through these training sessions. Examples of such diving in various parts of South East Asia in deep marine settings as well as in marine and fresh water caves will also be presented.
